Most interior designers say that wooden flooring will never be out of date. Its greatest advantage is that it keeps your home warm and is suitable for most houses and apartments.

There are different types of wooden flooring, but most people choose parquet wooden flooring, especially taking into account the fact that the market is literally flooded with laminated wooden parquet panels of all kinds. Unlike typical wooden floorings, laminates are made mostly from wood particles, bonded with some resin and coated with special materials.
Beech, oak and ash are the most popular tree species used in manufacturing of wooden flooring because they are pretty affordable. Cherry tree, walnut tree and eucalyptus tree are some very expensive materials, which are not affordable to most people.
How to properly maintain our wooden floor at home?
No matter how hard you try to keep your home in order and don’t let the members of your family go up and down the wooden floor with their muddy shoes, you can’t actually avoid any footprints. Furthermore, you need to clean it regularly in order to maintain it properly, because there are a lot of dust accumulations on the floor gathered every day. If you have a pet, this usually makes things harder.
Laminate flooring, as well as lacquered parquet are easily maintained with a regular vacuum cleaner and a mop. Of course, if you want your home to be sparkling clean, you need to vacuum clean and wipe all floors. However, this is pretty exhausting and boring if you need to do it yourself. A great idea is to make a schedule and include all members of the family in it.
Most people leave the whole cleaning process for the end of the week, when the housewife is supposed to have much more free time. However, this way your floor may start looking worn-out very soon. So, we suggest you to determine two days of the week especially for floor cleaning and maintenance. Don’t forget to maintain all floors of your home, especially the ones in the rooms you use most often.
In order to take a proper care of your wooden flooring, you need to buy some detergents that are made especially for wooden floors. However, besides these specialized products that will keep your wooden coating clean and intact, do not hesitate to use some other cleaning products. Do not be afraid to experiment, but try to make the solutions weaker than they are supposed to be in order to check if everything is the way it is supposed to be.
If there are any persistent stains on your wooden floors, try to scrub them gently and thoroughly with a tea towel with some abrasive elements without damaging the wooden coating. If there is an oil spilling, you need to absorb it immediately with some paper towels and treat the place with a natural soap-containing detergent. Make sure that there is no oil left on the flooring because it will make some dark stains appear. Do not forget to use some special polishing detergents that are responsible for making your wooden floor become sparkling clean.
When choosing some pieces of furniture that have wheels, bear in mind the fact that they are not particularly practical, because the wheels may hurt your wooden floor or leave some black marks and stains.
