Ovens are powered by either of two ways, electric or gas. Most modern homes feature electric ovens as they are safer and also better performers all round,. Be sure to have it installed by a professional for your own safety, as gas is very dangerous to work with.

3. Oven material

Most ovens are now finished in stainless steel, which is the best material for hygiene and cleaning. Why do you think all restaurant kitchens make use of stainless steel work surfaces and restaurant equipment? Stainless steel is also strong, durable and will look as good as new 5 years down the line. Consider brushed aluminium for an ultra contemporary look.

4. Could you upgrade?

Regular box ovens are great for small families; however range ovens offer a whole new level of cooking experience. Range ovens often feature separate ovens for multiple temperature cooking and a hob with an extra large surface area. If you have the room and the cash for a range oven, you won’t regret buying one.
